SIUC was chartered in 1869 as a teacher’s college. It is now a Carnegie-Doctoral/Research Extensive University with over 81 Bachelor, 70 Masters, and 33 Doctorate degrees. SIUC has an enrollment of over 21,000 students. www.siuc.edu |

Team SICK has several whitewater kayaks including Infrareds, Redlines, and others. These are free for club members to use for trips. There are also throw ropes, helmets, paddles, spray tops, PFDs, and a host of other gear to use. All club gear is the official property of Southern Illinois University Carbondale. |
|
SIUC Recreational Sport and Services has a great matching funds policy to help sport clubs. Twice a year, the university will match monies donated to club. These funds are then put 100% back into club boats, PFDs, helmets, safety gear, paddles, spray skirts… everything club uses! |
